I am to be found in the market town of Alton in Hampshire, where I settled in October 1999 with my 3 sons. Previously I was located in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where I taught creative embroidery, and had a small haberdashery shop in my studio at home for 15 years, 10 of which were in a full time capacity. Initially I trained under Lesley Turpin-Delport, internationally renowned author, teacher and designer.
New Beginnings!!
Many of you will recognise or know me from the many shows I have attended over the last 8 years all over the UK and in France, as a vendor of various products. During 2007 for the first time I attended a number of shows as a designer carrying my own range only. Teaching is my first love and over the next year I will be concentrating on my teaching and broadening my own range of designs and skills to produce new classes, ideas and designs. As a result, I will take a break from all large shows in 2008 and then maybe attend a few in 2009. I still offer my own range of designs and specialist related products, which can be ordered online.
I am hoping to be teaching across in France shortly so watch the blog for further news. Two of my ranges of designs - Stumpwork and Canvaswork - are now available with a full set of French instructions for French customers.
I offer regular classes - morning, afternoon and evening - from my home as well as from the Liss Community Centre. I am happy to travel for lectures and workshops.
Good stitching!!
